The Samaritans do amazing work supporting people when they need it most. Every ten seconds their volunteers respond to a call for help and they are available 24/7.
The Richardson Brothers Foundation is very pleased to support The Samaritans in Walsall with their current fundraising campaign, so they can carry on listening and helping people through difficult times.
Jan Jennings visited volunteers Sue and Sharon at the Samaritan base in Walsall to give them a donation from the Foundation. She explained:
“The Samaritans is a wonderful charity that has been running for over 70 years. In that time they have answered more than 134 million calls for help. From the beginning, the power of volunteers to listen confidentially and without judgement, has been at the heart of the service – assisting those people who are struggling to cope.
“The Richardson Brothers Foundation is delighted to help them continue with the important work they are doing.”
The Samaritans answer a call for help every 10 seconds and they can be called at any time from any phone for free – the number is 116 113.
